What’s your brand like? What kind of a person are you? Are you to go to person, or one to be avoided like a plague?
A strong brand should be reckoned with. Your brand should be able to speak for itself. That which lights up a room, with the ability to live your audience longing for more. This is workable (we all know everything is workable under the sun when we believe, right?) Like character, brand is tendered, brand is grown. Brand is watered and brand is fed for a full blown growth into maturity.
The choice of whatever you want to become is entirely rested in your area of jurisdiction. You either be a follower or a leader in your area of command. As the good book reminds us of the creator’s promise: “….the plans I have for you (Declares the Lord), are plans of good and not to harm you…. ” then, this verse gives me the rightful command to boldly declare without any fear of contradiction that anyone, No, Any willing soul, can create a brand they so desire!
Enhance your brand into a sellable personality. This will not be complete without looking at some of the areas that cripples this noble package.
Which are, by mentioning just but a few;
1). Conforming to the bandwagon culture
Dare to be different, dare to walk on the less traveled route. The more resistance you face the most probable, it will thrive.
Dare to dream and not to be swayed by the crowd. Have the audacity to see it on the contrary, to question the unquestionable, to be rational and think outside the box. As long as you are not out to overthrow. “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12.
2). Team work
The adage attributed to Al Gore; if you want to walk quickly, then go alone, but if you want to walk far, then go with people. Should not escape a pro-development person. As the tree needs all its parts,(leaves, roots, branches, fruits etcetera) for its completion, so do man.
A wise man knows the other is likely compliment them if well coordinated and managed. A great achiever is one who utilizes human resource gainfully. As a friend would say.. “I don’t mind who gets the credit as long as I do the right thing. ” So should be everyone’s mantra.
Team work mentality elevates even the weakest (or so one considered as such), for the benefit of the entire group. But when a branch is cut off, then it’s for the detrimental of the entire tree.
3). Superiority complex
Who has the complete package of success without climbing up the learning ladder? Who can authoritatively say they know everything by themselves? Who can say without whincing that theirs is a clean slate and greatly perfect? None but God.
And no particle that forms up a matter is ineffective. All, in their capacity, creates the admired pattern.
None is an island by themselves, instead each complements the other for a complete whole and not broken part.
Superiority complex destroyed the otherwise would be strongest economies of the world. Just like Zimbabwe’s authoritarian leadership, since the inception of the country’s self rule, made sure the economic strength was thwarted into oblivion.
Those who ever thrived, did so with the right crowd. Identify your area and learn from those who traveled the path before you.
